Here is where I’ll show you the options you have some cheaper then other but the good thins is there’s options. You only have to spend as much money as you want to. Obviously the cheaper the options the less quality sound you will get. And there are downsides to all of the options.

Option 1: iPod adapter cables

This is simply a cable that plugs into you headphone socket of your ipod and then plugs into your radio. There are different types of cables depending on what your radio can accept. The simplest is a cable with both ends that are headphone adapters on you simply plug on end into your ipod and then the other into your radio aux-in socket but not all radios have this. The other type of cable has the same but it has a cassette on the other end and again not all radios have cassette players on them nowadays. These both will cost you about £4 - £8.

Option 2: iPod Radio transmitters

This is a plug-in that fits in your iPod usb socket and then transmits your iPod music to your radio via a specified frequency. It is easy to use you for example set your iPod radio transmitter to 84.00 fm and then tune your radio into the same 84.00 fm and you can then play your iPod music on your car radio. It is currently illegal to sell this in the UK but you can buy these units online. The unit cost about £20 - £40.

Option 3: iPod compatible car radios

This is simple a car radio that accepts a usb connection to it. So you don’t need to have any other wires apart from the one that came in the box. Some radios come with there own wire. Also a lot of newer radios have copied the interface of the iPod so its easy to navigate through your songs. The radios range from £130+ to some high end units that cost £700 but like most things there are units that will cost even more the that one and do more as well.
